A UX Architect with a passion for all things web.
I focus on building bridges between all groups involved in a project -- developers, visual designers, and clients, in order to provide application users with
the best possible product.
At Pierce College I worked for two years as a Math, Writing, and Science tutor, before coming to Olin College and falling in love with Boston.
The patience, communication ability, and sense of humor I picked up through teaching has helped me enormously when dealing with clients.
With a degree in engineering and my development experience, I'm also able to work with devs, prototype, and design with the end goal in mind.

Design Process
Everyone has a slightly different idea of what a design process is and how it should go. However, I tend to think of the design process as having four basic steps, with many smaller tasks in each phase.
There is also an iterative component -- a final prototype may go back through user testing, additional feature design, refinement, etc.

A little more about these projects...
A three month project starting with the selection of a user group (high-end bar patrons),
ending with prototype refinement and presentation. We worked in a four-person team through all stages of the design process. Check out the
entire list.
EventKickr -- September 2011-Present
Freelance work for a Boston-based startup, currently looking for VP funding. In order to support their pitch, I researched many similar sites and sites with a similar target demographic, read user reviews, their own market research, and created a series of personas and scenarios based on this.
After several ideation iterations, I created a series of wireframes to include all features.
The Music Web was created as a project for Mark Chang's class,
.com ("dotcom"). I was inspire by the echonest API and really wanted to do something cool with it.
I came up with the "Music Web" idea -- hardly novel, but "playing random walks" through a music web was something I hadn't seen before. The
final product, although it's missing some functions, is fun to play around with.
